Housing officer Stephanie reduces carbon footprint

Residents who complained about lights being on in their block all day long, won a small victory after we acted on their concerns.

Lights in the communal stairwell at Morley Court were on continuously until housing officer Stephanie Russell, took action.

Stephanie arranged for photo cells to be placed in the stairwells, which means they only switch on when it gets dark. Not only does this keep electricity costs down, it also made the building more energy efficient and reduced our carbon footprint.

Stephanie said: “This project allowed us to work with residents and listen and respond to any ideas they have.”
