Tenants at the heart of everything we do

A safe, secure, supportive home is essential for everyone and social housing has the capacity to do this – providing both a safety net and a springboard when difficulties arise. What has struck me about PCH is that it does this not just by providing good-quality buildings, but also by helping to create a sense of community.

Part of my role as a chair is to attend events with other housing associations. I always return thinking how much better PCH is than others, really living up to our values, rather than acting like a large faceless organisation as so many do. Our Board and staff are committed to putting tenants at the heart of what we do.

Nick Lewis is the Chair of the PCH Board – a position he has held since October 2017. He is a chartered accountant and has an MBE for services to Economic Development in the South West. Nick has been involved in social housing for a number of years and was previously Chair of North Devon Homes.
